I have spent twenty years building technology, and I have only ever cared about one thing: whether it changes something for the person at the other end. That took me from energy-saving drives and power electronics into smart buildings, then into electrifying fleets and storing grid power, and now into the companies and trading systems I build myself. The work is the same every time. Get product, technology, operations and commercial execution pointing the same way, and keep them there long enough for the numbers to move.
